Hey Lovelies!
A good skin is a reflection of good health. All the pollution and climate change has caused skin care to be more of a routine care. You need to take care of your skin religiously and continuously to get your skin to glow with health. Using the right products are a great way to do it right! Let me show you some of the skin-care products I’m loving right now.
I must tell you about this absolutely gorgeous face cleanser called ‘After Glow’ from SaND. It comes in a creamy consistency. You just need to pinch out a bit to mix with water and use on your face. It is an Ayurveda product with the goodness of Masoor, Almonds, Aloe vera, Honey, Veg Glycerine, Oils of Wheatgerm, almond, Jojoba & Hemp-seed, Ylang Ylang & Koalin. Using it brings in strong smell of crushed almonds. After washing, the skin feels soft and supple. Priced at INR710 for 100gm.
Eye cream that really works? Yes! You heard me right! Note this ladies! This Bio Almond Oil eye cream can reduce your under-eye dark circles a shade light. Bio Almond under eye cream comes in a 15gm pot priced at INR199.
I have already told you how much I love TBS body butter in shea butter. Read about it here. I cant stop raving about how good it is!! The Iraya spot correction gel is another product I cant stop raving about. I have reviewed it in an earlier post here.
I started with Lakme Perfect Radiance serum. The product was good but the packaging destroyed the experience for me. The pump would stop working in a week. I exchanged it twice and had the same experience. I had enough and I decided to try the Ponds Gold Radiance Serum with real gold micro-particles in it. Oh! I love the decision and it has really made a difference in my skin. The serum melts in the skin. Priced at INR899 for 30ml; it comes in a dropper bottle.
Another few of my favorite skin care products come from Clarins. Their day cream, night cream and sunscreen have made me fall in love. The day cream has a water based consistency and absorbs readily into the skin. It is named as Brightening Hydrating Emulsion. With a SPF 20 and PA+++; it is an oil-free formula.
I always follow this up with the UV plus Anti-pollution Sunscreen from Clarins. Enriched with SPF50 and PA++++, UVA-UVB protection, what more could one ask for? Yes! Oil-free too! Oh! Did I mention they come in three beautiful shades to brighten your skin, to whiten your skin and in a clear color? I love the Rosy Glow one which comes in a beautiful powder peach. It instantly brightens the face. Best sunscreen ever!!
Another product I love from the Clarins range is the Smoothing Brightening Night Cream. The consistency is a bit thicker than the day cream. If you have noticed, the night creams are generally thicker than the day creams to lock the moisture in & keep skin moisturized even through all that toss and turn.

Such a pretty basket. I’m getting ready for a house guest so I’m studying baskets very closely! I need to make a welcome basket for a teenage boy!

Oh! You can buy them off the rack from some vintage stores. For a teenage boy, you can fill it with game cds I guess? And maybe Starbucks gift cards too?

He’s an exchange student from France. I’m racking my brain on what to do. He arrives in 2 weeks. Never been to US. What do I put in a basket that’s useful and cultural and a 15 year old boy would like? HMMMM!

Well, He sure will love a camera and some gift cards to start with. He could click photos of US and use the gift cards to buy stuff. Get some pretty US flag cupcakes to fill up the basket! Found these free printables you could use in your basket too!

You do have cupcakes! Candies can be kiddish. You wanna give him a sense of being grown up, yet being a excited kid. Keep it to a welcome basket. The camera will be too big for a jar. Let me know if he loved it, maybe?
